High‑Current Module Junction Box Certification: Suzhou Tongtai New Energy has obtained the DEKRA Seal certificate for a 30‑A rated, three‑piece photovoltaic junction box, supporting 166/210 mm large‑wafer modules.

With the launch of large‑wafer cells and modules—such as 166 mm and 210 mm—photovoltaic module power can now reach up to 500 W, bringing us one step closer to grid parity.
However, increasing the silicon wafer area not only boosts efficiency and power output but also leads to a continuous rise in internal current. Recently, Suzhou Tongtai New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. obtained DEKRA’s world‑first DEKRA Seal certification for a three‑piece photovoltaic junction box with a rated current of 30 A.

This three‑piece junction box integrates a next‑generation modular system, delivering excellent thermal management even under high currents—far exceeding the conventional 18 A—and demonstrating particularly outstanding heat dissipation. The product not only complies with the IEC 62790:2014 standard for junction boxes but also significantly outperforms traditional PV junction boxes in terms of performance and reliability, elevating the operational safety and reliability of photovoltaic modules—especially those featuring large 166/210‑mm silicon wafers, TOPCon, HIT, and bifacial cells—by an additional level.
