Great practice gives rise to a great spirit, and that great spirit, in turn, propels great undertakings. Not long ago, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized at the symposium on advancing the all-round revitalization of Northeast China in the new era that we must vigorously carry forward the spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the Iron Man Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit, guiding Party members and cadres to cultivate a correct view of political achievements and to ignite their enthusiasm for work and entrepreneurship. He also stressed the need to firmly grasp the Northeast’s vital mission in safeguarding the nation’s “five major securities.” In this new era and on this new journey, to ensure national security, we must inherit the red gene and carry forward the red lineage, drawing from the spirit of the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the Iron Man Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit the inspiring strength to forge ahead in our endeavors.

The Spirit of the Northeast Anti‑Japanese United Army, the Daqing Spirit (the Iron Man Spirit), and the Beidahuang Spirit are vital components of the Communist Party of China’s spiritual lineage, holding the “spiritual code” behind the Party’s repeated feats of extraordinary achievement. The heroic spirit, indomitable fighting spirit, and ethos of self‑strengthening they embody are powerful manifestations of the Chinese national spirit. As we advance, we must consciously draw upon these great spirits to forge a character of unwavering determination and to ignite our passion for striving and accomplishing.
